08/30/2006: "Unshown Cinema to be shown in September"
Cartoon Brew reminds that Unshown Cinema: The Animated Films That Got Away will be screening in Los Angeles this September 22 - 24 at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica. The event comes courtesy of American Cinematheque and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. Having failed to receive commercial theatrical distribution in the U.S., feature films to be presented include: Reynard the Fox (1937), Whisper of the Heart (1995), Raining Cats and Frogs (2003) and The Table Turns (1988). Meanwhile, the short films to be shown are: The Periwig-Maker (1999), Son of Satan (2003) and The Guilt Trip (2005). Panels, parties, and special guests will likewise all be included at Unshown Cinema.
