07/26/2008: "ASIFA announces Winsor McCay recipients"
At a private ceremony at Comic-Con, ASIFA-Hollywood announced the recipients of the Winsor McCay Awards - given for a lifetime of achievement in animation. John Lasseter, Mike Judge, and Nick Park will be honored with the award at the 2009 Annie Awards. Antran Manoogian, ASIFA-Hollywood president, said “Their career achievments and outstanding contributions to the art of animation are certainly worthy of being recognized with this honor.”
