01/03/2008: "Disney musicals set records in last week of 2007"
BroadwayWorld.com reports that Disney Theatrical Productions’ three shows currently running on Broadway all set box office records for the week ending December 30, 2007. The Lion King, a six time Tony award winner now in its tenth year, set a new record at the Minskoff Theatre with $1,571,937. Mary Poppins set a record at the New Amsterdam Theatre with $1,465,793. And The Little Mermaid, now in previews with its official opening scheduled for January 10th, set a new record at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre with $1,325,391.
