07/01/2008: "Harry Gregson-Williams reminisces on his Shrek scores"

The prolific composer, who most recently signed the Prince Caspian score for Disney, talks to Ain’t It Cool about his body of work, including the Shrek blockbusters: Director Andrew Adamson and I] have spent a lot of time together. We went through Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, the first Narnia, and now the second Narnia. He’s a really good friend and I really respect him and like his musical taste. I did from the word “go.” When he showed me the first cut of Shrek, one minute you have this Joan Jett song and the next minute a beautiful Hallelujah song which actually has a lot of emotion with this movie of a green ogre. Who would have thought it? A lot of those song placements came from Andrew so I trust his musical instincts and I think he trusts mine.”
