10/19/2003 Archives: "Here's that first look at Disney's Home On The Range!"
Following the review of Disney/Pixar's latest collaboration Finding Nemo over at DVD Toons, here's a further look at the full trailer included on Disc Two of that set! These exclusive pictures, taken from the DVD, reveal the visuals in Disney's last traditionally animated feature film, set for release next April, 2004.
The animation style is closely tied with that of The Emperor's New Groove, with its very 1950s look, which reminds us of the Studio's 1954 short Pigs Is Pigs. Follow the link for more pictures, which include looks at the new Disney logo designed to open the film, as well as the cow-stars of the movie (voices include Roseanne, Judi Dench, Jennifer Tilly and Sarah Jessica Parker) and their little "Patch Of Heaven" - the farm on which they live.
Other stills show off the farm animals, a close-up of Roseanne's character, plus villain Slim (Randy Quaid) and the title treatment. Although this trailer announces that "this film is not yet rated", the MPAA has already awarded the completed film a PG, for "brief mild rude humor". For those who want to see more, and hear snippets from Alan Menken's first songs and score for a Disney film since 1997's Hercules, check out the Finding Nemo DVD, out November 4th!
