05/28/2004 Archives: "Tons of movie updates"

Over at Dark Horizons the site seems to have a ton of updates on animation-related projects. It seems that DreamWorks is looking to remake Forbidden Planet (the 1956 original featured special animation effects from The Walt Disney Studios), and Platinum Studios' comic Cowboys And Aliens is heading to the big screen. Meanwhile, Brendan Fraser, apart from being linked to the Superman feature, is also attached to The Fantastic Four film, while Jake Gyllenhaal is up for the Man Of Steel himself. Finally, Catwoman producer Edward L. McDonnell talks openly about the reportedly troubled film, which opens July 23.

In related news over at AICN, there's a look at what fans can do to help Restore Superman II to the way original director Richard Donner envisioned before being replaced and having his footage cut from the eventual release print.
