Fox/Blue Sky's Robots opens today in 3,776 theatres according to Box Office Mojo. The film has received fairly positive reviews, with 28 out 42 fresh reviews for a respectable 67% rating at Rotten Tomatoes. The critics range from "Robots is in high gear from start to finish" (Jeff Strickler, Minneapolis Star Tribune), to "A reminder that when it comes to innovative animated entertainment for all ages, there is Pixar, there is Japan and there is everybody else" (A.O. Scott, New York Times) - though most fall somewhere in the middle.
