08/07/2005 Archives: "Details on Ultimate Avengers DTV title"

Comic Book Resources has posted an account of the happenings at Wizard World Chicago yesterday, as Wizard's Richard Ho moderated a discussion of Ultimate Avengers, the first of a proposed series of direct-to-DVD animated releases with Marvel properties. Speakers in the discussion included Marvel's Craig Kyle and Lion's Gate Family Entertainment's Ken Katsumoto. Set for a February 2006 release, Ultimate Avengers is based on the first six issues of The Ultimates by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch. The production will have a runing time of 75 - 80 minutes, letterboxed format, and Dolby Digital 5.1. sound. In addition, Ultimate Avengers will be aimed at PG/PG-13 audiences.
