Dennis Weaver, most famous for his work in the hit television series Gunsmoke and McCloud, died on Friday, at the age of 81 years old. His animated work included voicing the characters Dusty and Josh in Captain Planet and the Planeteers (1990). In 2002, Weaver enjoyed a guest role in the Simpsons episode "The Lastest Gun in the West," where he voiced aging Hollywood cowboy star Buck McCoy. Audiences could likewise hear the actor's voice in Disney's animated feature Home on the Range (2004), portraying the cattle rancher Abner Dixon.
