03/16/2006 Archives: "Spongebob shirt blamed for fire injury"

From The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, The Big Cartoon Database indicates that Mark Dershem of Harmony, Pennsylvania is suing Wal-Mart and MTV-Nickelodeon, in response to his son's Spongebob Squarepants shirt catching fire. It appears that the emblem on the garment caught ablaze as the nine-year-old was stroking fire embers at his grandmother's house. As a result, the boy's face, arm and legs were reportedly burned.
