Titles game!

Post by ShyViolet » April 21st, 2007, 6:29 pm

Has anyone ever seen this game in your local movie theater before the picture started?

You name a movie title, but it's a discarded title or a "secret" title that a movie formerly had. (Ex: Scream's original title: "Scary Movie" Yup, you that's right.)

(You can use IMDB to come up with names, if you want.)

Oh, and it could be a film that was in development and aborted, or is still in development now.

I'll start us off....let's see how long we can keep it going! :)

What film was....

....Angel and her no good sister

:)

most commonly known as?

That's not fair! It had like 23 different titles during its development!

(I'll let someone else answer!)

OK, the one that's the "most common"....that most people would recognize.

I admit it's not a great example since it was never released, and had so many different names....it was all I could think of at that moment though.

Hint: It was one of the "premier" films being made at the Disney Florida studio for quite some time. When the studio shut down in late 2003, the project was shut down with it.

Another hint: the film was top heavy on talent...or maybe the talent was just top heavy.

Yes you're right Meg!! :) On both.

"My Peoples" is the most commonly known title, but due to the obscurity of the film, I would have taken either one.

Your turn! :)

I think Vi's trying to be too clever again! How can you start this game with a film that doesn't exist, so you could never be in the theater to play it!?

And, as James said, it never got to the point that it had a locked titled (though My Peoples was the closest, I suppose). Still, not a great one to kickstart this!

Meg can have her go, but I'll throw in Blue Harvest ;)

I WIN!

Alright - I'm gonna go and try to think one up. Someone can take a shot at Bens' in the meantime.

Any geek worth their salt knows that "Blue Harvest" was the name given to "Return Of The Jedi" during production to disguse the fact that that's what they were really working on. I've got a good one, but Meg was up so I'll let her go first.

Just FYI, IMDB has a lot of info on discarded titles. :)
